Ed Kennedy
ARTIST | OIL | PASTEL
My paintings reflect my love for the landscape, its natural beauty and many moods. My subjects can vary from broad vistas to intimate portraits of rocks or trees. I am fascinated by how commonplace subjects can be dramatically transformed depending on the time of day or season. I work primarily in pastel because its remarkable range of color, texture and immediacy allows me to respond directly to the emotion I feel when painting from life.
His work has received recognition from the Pastel Society of America (PSA), the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS), and he has exhibited his work at The Butler Museum of American Art. He’s a signature member of PSA and the Rochester Art Club, a Master Circle member of IAPS, and a member of the Great Lakes Pastel Society. He now resides with his family in Saline, Michigan.
