My work is a dance with freedom. I paint what I feel. I let my insides expand in color so that my emotions can have new life. Loosely composed with the knowledge of color, texture, line, and shape, my paintings naturally unfold. Beginning with a foundation of spontaneously painted content, I intuitively respond by building layers of acrylic glazes, drawing, writing, scumbling, collaging, and scraping back to the origins underneath until an active dialogue emerges. No stroke is ever wasted. They are authentic responses that deepen a heartfelt conversation.
